Orem Chiropractor Discusses Fibromyalgia After Car Accident

A new study suggests that an Orem Car Accident raises the risk of developing chronic widespread pain. Researcher did not find this association with other types of physical trauma.

To me this makes perfect sense. I have found that people that suffer with fibromyalgia or Chronic Widespread Pain (CWP) start with some kind of physical or emotional trauma. Very few things are as physically, mentally and emotionally traumatic as a car accident.

Many people with fibromyalgia in Orem report that symptoms began after a car accident. In light of this one of the best things a person can do after being in a car accident is to keep a journal. In this journal report symptoms, effects to lifestyle, etc. By showing health status before your accident and then showing affects after accident, it becomes very difficult for automotive-insurance companies to refuse coverage for post-traumatic fibromyalgia.

The authors of this research are now calling for future research into what makes a car accident different from other types of physical trauma, both physically and in how people react to them.
